Welcome to the College of Education, Warri Portal.Our vision is to train students in their chosen careers as Vocational Teachers and for self reliance.
Our vision is that Primary school is the foundation of the education system in Nigeria, hence the sandwich programme is aimed at equipping teachers with the relevant knowledge and skills to enable them teach effectively all subjects in the primary school curriculum.
Anchored with our mission statement to achieve the above goal, the unit is designed to produce highly matured, conscientious, efficient and innovative teachers who can perform leadership/supervisory roles and meet with the challenges of the dynamic society.
The goals and objective of the unit is to enhance teachers qualified through in service training to be able to meet up with the changing academic challenges of our time.
The institution was officially opened on the 5th of May 1980 by the then Executive Governor of the defunct Bendel State, Chief (Prof) Ambrose Ali. On that day the College was renamed College of Education, Ihogbe, Benin City.
